52 Books a Year

In 2009, I set myself my first reading challenge: one book a week, every week, all year. It was a great challenge, and it totally pushed the boundaries for me in terms of the types of books I read. I rediscovered my love of detective fiction - which lead to 2010's "Teen Detective Challenge" - and finally found out what everyone was raving about when they kept telling me to try Agatha Christie. I discovered I have a passion for Chinese and Russian modern history, although neither of those are things I've had a chance to indulge in much yet.

Even though my reading IRL went from January 1 - December 31, my blogging lagged behind somewhat, which is why the dates don't match up. Yes, that is a long-winded way of saying that I'm a lazy blogger.
